Student Debt Crisis

Student debt crisis is a problem that affects many currently enrolled, and retired students in Canada. This problem is becoming more exposed because of it's harsh impact on a person's life. Many people who are burdened by student debt find themselves backed into a corner, and rendered helpless because of the extreme difficulties in: coping with the demands (both mentally and financially), managing the stress, and trying to plan for the future.

Recent studies reveal that more and more people are coming forward with complaints about how they have been subjected to loan default as a result of errors that are occurring at source levels such as Edulinx, or The National Student Loan Center (NSLC). Such errors include: the loss of interest relief documentation and requests, misinformation, and even the misplacement of loan files, of which are critical incidents that cause undue hardship and stress.

Perhaps one the most critical problems associated with student debt crisis is the often-toxic interaction with third-party collection agencies and their collectors. Not to mention the often-unnecessary legal proceedings that occur as a result of commission-hungry debt collectors.

Student debt crisis is on the rise as tuition rates and the other related costs associated with education spike to all time record highs. The result of this debt burden will be catastrophic to the student loan borrower if he or she is not aware of how to cope with and solve these cumbersome financial problems. If a student loan borrower is empowered with the knowledge - and the necessary skills to capture financial wellness and sustainability, it is one life saved.
